This is an experimental recipe of mine to mix Chinese ingredients into miso soup! Dried wood ear and pine nuts are my favorite ingredients stocked in the cupboard to make Chinese dishes, as both of them are known as anti-aging foods.
I cooked these ingredients together with sliced onions in a broth and flavored with miso paste. To make it more exotic, I added a little chili oil per soup bowl when serving.
My husband said it tasted like the soup of ramen! Try it when you want something different 🙂
